{"id":64,"date":"2023-09-14T11:46:28","date_gmt":"2023-09-14T11:46:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/?p=64"},"modified":"2023-09-14T11:46:28","modified_gmt":"2023-09-14T11:46:28","slug":"modify-existing-bookings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/modify-existing-bookings\/","title":{"rendered":"Modify existing bookings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>You can edit booking information collected at checkout or added by your staff manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To edit a booking, go to Booking \u2192 select a booking and click \u201cEdit\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>In the \u201cBooking Information\u201d section, you can edit check-in and check-out dates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the \u201cReserved accommodations\u201d section, you can manage accommodations and other booking information, such as booked services or a property rate (all information you can see in this section is editable).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>Edit arrival or departure dates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How to Edit Bookings in WordPress Hotel Booking Plugin by MotoPress\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lS9AWxv8Ex0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To edit arrival\/departure dates, follow the next steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Click \u201cEdit Dates\u201d and select new dates to check the availability of the already booked properties in this reservation. Pick dates and click \u201cCheck Availability\u201d.<br>It a property is available, you\u2019ll see the \u201cAvailable\u201d status:<br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/hotel-booking-docs-image57.jpg\" alt=\"image57\"><br>If not, it won\u2019t let you proceed with an unavailable one:<br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/hotel-booking-docs-image26.jpg\" alt=\"image26\"><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continue if a property is available. You\u2019ll see the source and target accommodation. The source accommodation is used to transfer already available client data to a new updated booking. If you just change dates, most likely the source accommodation will be the same as the target one.<br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/hotel-booking-docs-image53.jpg\" alt=\"image53\"><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the final step, you can compare the new booking details with those in the original booking.<br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/hotel-booking-docs-image51.png\" alt=\"image51\"><br>The dates are changed. But when you also want to update any other information (e.g. to add a service), you can do it on this step \u2013 the details are customizable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click \u201cSave\u201d when you are ready to change new details.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3>Edit, remove or replace accommodation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To edit, remove or replace accommodation, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Click \u201cEdit Accommodations\u201d \u2013 here you can add new accommodations for the same or other dates. Also, you can edit rates, services, the number of guests, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click \u201cAdd\u201d, \u201cRemove\u201d or \u201cReplace\u201d accommodation to make the required changes.<br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/hotel-booking-docs-image27.png\" alt=\"image27\"><br>When you add or replace accommodation, you\u2019ll be offered to select an accommodation type and a physical accommodation of its type:<br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/hotel-booking-docs-image36.png\" alt=\"image36\"><br>You can add as many properties as needed.<br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/hotel-booking-docs-image79.png\" alt=\"image79\"><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose the source accommodation for each new one (to automatically transfer client data) and click \u201cContinue\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customize the editable details of bookings if needed and click \u201cSave\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/hotel-booking-docs-image8.png\" alt=\"image8\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can see the history of changes in the Logs panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you add new accommodations, update rates or services, the final booking cost may change. If it was already paid, you can do the following to charge the balance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Record a cash payment manually via dashboard after the arrival of your guest:<br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/hotel-booking-docs-image76.jpg\" alt=\"image76\"><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrate the <a href=\"https:\/\/motopress.com\/products\/hotel-booking-payment-request\/\">Payment Request add-on<\/a> to send a payment link with the balance in a click (guests will be able to pay online before arrival and the payment will be recorded automatically).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>OTAs sync for updated bookings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you list your properties on external OTAs via iCal, the changes you make to bookings on the site will also be synchronized with those on OTAs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each accommodation in a booking (in \u201cReserved accommodations\u201d \u2013 there can be several ones in a booking) has its unique ID (UID) that is used in iCal calendars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you change booking dates for properties in a reservation, the calendar UID stays the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you change accommodation or its type in a booking (add, remove or replace properties), its UID in a calendar is also changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The updated booking data should be synced with external calendars during the next <a href=\"https:\/\/motopress.com\/blog\/hotel-booking-plugin-for-wordpress-bookings-with-otas-via-ical\/\">scheduled automatic<\/a> sync.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the export, the UIDs of the events in calendars are compared, so if there is new information, it should be also automatically updated on the external platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: you cannot edit the bookings imported from external sources\/platforms. To modify bookings sourced from external platforms, you need to update the source booking (the listing on the OTA) and resync your calendars to export new data to the Hotel Booking plugin on your WordPress website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can edit booking information collected at checkout or added by your staff manually.
