The Payment status is \u2018On Hold\u2019 or \u2018Pending\u2019. If you set the payment status to \u2018Completed\u2019, the booking status changes to \u2018Confirmed\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/choose-payment-method.jpg\" alt=\"Payment methods at checkout.\" class=\"wp-image-1435020\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2>General settings<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/geenral-settings.jpg\" alt=\"General settings - direct bank transfer.\" class=\"wp-image-1435021\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Check the \u2018Enable Direct Bank Transfer\u2019 checkbox to output this method at checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Provide a title, method description and further instructions for clients that will be visible at checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the dedicated \u2018Instructions\u2019 field, you can write payment instructions that will specify the payment process for guests. For example, \u201cTransfer the payment to XXXX. Place your booking number in notes\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Enable or disable auto-abandonment of non-paid bookings<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/enable-auto-abandonment.jpg\" alt=\"Auto abandonment of bookings settings in the direct transfer method.\" class=\"wp-image-1434733\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><br>Since MotoPress Hotel Booking 4.7.0, there are two ways you can use the direct bank transfer method:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. With Auto-abandonment disabled.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Booking status<\/td><td>Pending Payment<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Payment status<\/td><td>On Hold<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Use \u201cPayment Instructions Email\u201d to notify your guest that a booking is placed and guest should proceed with payment.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If the \u2018Enable Auto-abandonment\u2019 option is disabled, you need to keep an eye on bookings made using the direct bank transfer method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you receive the payment from a guest, you manually change the status of the payment to \u2018Completed\u2019. If you don\u2019t receive a payment, you change the status to any other appropriate one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. With Auto-abandonment enabled.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Booking status<\/td><td>Pending Payment<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Payment status<\/td><td>Pending (with timeframe)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Use \u201cPayment Instructions Email\u201d to notify your guest that a booking is placed and guest should proceed with payment.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can optionally enable it to restrict guests with a timeframe for making a booking or otherwise automatically abandoning their reservation. To enable it, simply check the respective box and set the time frame in hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you receive the payment from a guest, you need to <strong>manually change the status of the payment to \u2018Completed\u2019<\/strong>, which in its turn automatically changes the booking status to \u2018Confirmed\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a customer fails to make a bank transfer during the timeframe, the booking status <strong>will automatically change to \u2018Abandoned\u2019<\/strong>, and the slot will be released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the list of bookings, you can see how much time is left for a booking to be paid.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/expiration-statement.jpg\" alt=\"The expiration link in the Bookings menu.\" class=\"wp-image-1434790\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2>The Payment instructions email template<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doc.freevision.me\/luxed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2023\/09\/payment-instruction-email-for-direct-bank-transfer.jpg\" alt=\"The payment instruction email.\" class=\"wp-image-1443397\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><br>There is a dedicated Payment Instructions email template that you can automate to send clients instruction on how to pay, their booking info and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Feel free to add any automated tags in addition to how-to-pay instructions.
