In this menu you add accommodation types available in your hotel establishment. Note: \u201cAccommodations\u201d are real accommodations, and \u201cAccommodation types\u201d are only their types (e.g. you can have a double room \u201cAccommodation type\u201d and 10 real \u201cAccommodations\u201d of this type).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to work with accommodations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Go to Accommodation \u2192 Accommodation types \u2192 Add Accommodation Type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Add title, description and a short description (excerpt).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Add total accommodation capacity (size, maximum number of adults and children).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Do you need to turn on the \u201cCapacity\u201d option?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The \u201cCapacity\u201d option prioritizes the total number of sleeps rather than strictly differentiates the number of adults and children. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cCapacity\u201d disabled (empty): 6 adults, 3 children means a property can accommodate strictly up to 6 adults and up to 3 children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cCapacity\u201d enabled (value set): For example, \u201cCapacity\u201d \u2013 6, \u201cAdults\u201d \u2013 6, \u201cChildren\u201d \u2013 5. In this case, 6 adults, 5 children means a property can accommodate any variation up to 6 guests: 1 adult and 5 children, or 2 adults and 4 children, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Important: A minimum parameter of 1 \u201cAdult\u201d is required. A property can\u2019t be booked for \u201cChildren\u201d alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you don\u2019t need the number of adults and children to be flexible, don\u2019t configure this option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Use it to allow dynamic change of the number of adults or children based on the guest\u2019s preferences. At checkout, the number of children changes dynamically based on the chosen number of adults and vice versa so that in result the choice meets the \u201cCapacity\u201d requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Add view (e.g. seaside, city view) and bed types in this accommodation type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Add bed types \u2013 you\u2019ll be redirected to the Settings menu, where you\u2019ll need to specify your bed types > click Add Bed Type button > scroll down and save changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Tick \u201callow comments\u201d if you want to enable comments under the accommodation types.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Select services that your hotel can provide for this accommodation type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Add accommodation Amenities and categories right from this menu or go to add new ones (from Accommodation \u2192 Categories \/ Amenities).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Add photo gallery and featured image if needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Publish the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      If you have many real rooms of this accommodation type, you can simply generate the needed number of them while staying in this menu: click Generate accommodation under description field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How to make the availability calendar clickable on the accommodation type page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      This option works starting from version 4.6.0 of the Hotel Booking plugin. It works for availability calendars displayed on the individual property pages.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

      If you prefer to allow guests to select their arrival and departure time right in the calendar by clicking on dates, do this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Go to Accommodation > Settings > check the box that says \u2018Skip search results page and enable direct booking from accommodation pages.\u2019 to enable direct bookings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Checking the box for this setting should be enough to make a calendar clickable on all accommodation type pages added via Accommodation types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      But if you want to manually create a booking page for any accommodation and have a clickable calendar on it, make these steps additionally<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Ensure that the property pages contains two shortcodes: [mphb_availability]<\/code> and [mphb_availability_calendar]<\/code>.
      2. Ensure that both shortcodes have the same property ID.<\/p>\n\n\n
